Sales Terms & Conditions — Raymond Pacific

Effective date: 01 April 2026. Last updated: 01 April 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bespoke tailoring orders placed with Raymond Pacific (“we,” “us,” “our”), operating from [business address, Hong Kong]. By placing an order, booking a consultation that leads to an order, or paying a deposit, you (“client,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (see Section 15).

2. Definitions

  • “Bespoke garment” — a garment made to your individual measurements and specifications, cut from an individually drafted pattern.
  • “Order” — a confirmed request for a bespoke garment, accepted by us upon receipt of the required deposit.
  • “Consultation” — an initial or follow-up meeting to discuss requirements, take measurements, or select fabric.
  • “Fitting” — an in-person appointment during production to check and adjust the fit of a garment in progress.

3. Consultations & Orders

3.1 Orders are placed in person at our atelier or, where agreed, remotely, and are confirmed once we issue a written order summary (fabric, style, price, and estimated timeline) and receive the required deposit.

3.2 An order is not confirmed, and production will not begin, until the deposit specified in Section 5 has been received.

3.3 Prices quoted are valid for [X days] from the date of quotation, after which fabric availability or pricing may change.

4. Pricing

4.1 All prices are quoted in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of the base garment construction, fabric (from our standard range), and up to [X] fittings.

4.2 Fabrics outside our standard range, additional customization (e.g., monogramming, non-standard linings, extra buttons), and rush orders may incur additional charges, which will be confirmed with you before being applied.

4.3 We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before an order is confirmed. Confirmed orders will not be affected by subsequent price changes.

5. Deposits & Payment

5.1 A deposit of [X%] of the total order value is required to confirm an order and begin production.

5.2 The remaining balance is due [before final fitting / upon collection / before delivery] — [choose and confirm].

5.3 Accepted payment methods: [cash, bank transfer, PayMe, credit card via [processor], etc.].

5.4 Garments will not be released for collection or delivery until payment is received in full.

6. Measurements & Client Responsibilities

6.1 Measurements are taken by our tailors at consultation. You are responsible for providing accurate information about your intended use of the garment (e.g., occasion, expected fit).

6.2 If your body measurements change significantly between consultation and delivery (e.g., due to weight change), please inform us as early as possible — additional fitting or remake costs may apply and are not covered under standard order pricing.

6.3 You agree to attend scheduled fitting appointments. Repeated missed fittings without reasonable notice may extend production timelines and could incur rescheduling fees.

7. Production Timeline & Delivery

7.1 Estimated production timelines are provided at the time of order (typically [X–X weeks]) but are estimates, not guarantees, given the handmade nature of bespoke garments.

7.2 We will notify you promptly of any significant delay and provide a revised estimated completion date.

7.3 Garments may be collected in person at our atelier or delivered, where arranged, at an additional delivery charge.

8. Fittings & Alterations

8.1 The number of fittings included in your order price is specified at the time of order (typically [X] fittings: baste, forward, and final).

8.2 Adjustments requested during included fittings that are within normal fit corrections are provided at no extra charge.

8.3 Alterations requested after final delivery, or changes beyond the original specification (e.g., changing style after cutting has begun), may incur additional charges.

8.4 Garments purchased elsewhere (not made by Raymond Pacific) brought in for alteration are quoted and charged separately and are not covered by the bespoke garment warranty in Section 11.

9. Order Changes & Cancellations

9.1 Before cutting begins: you may cancel your order and request a refund of your deposit, less any costs already incurred for fabric or materials specifically ordered for your garment.

9.2 After cutting begins: because bespoke garments are custom-made to your individual specification, deposits become non-refundable once fabric has been cut, and no refund is available for a completed or substantially completed garment, except where the garment does not conform to the agreed specification (see Section 11) or is otherwise defective.

9.3 Changes to fabric or style after an order is confirmed may not always be possible once production has started, and may incur additional charges if accommodated.

9.4 This clause does not affect any statutory rights you may have that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law.

10. Uncollected Garments

10.1 If a completed garment is not collected within [X months] of notification of completion, we may charge a reasonable storage fee, or, after [X months] and reasonable attempts to contact you, treat the order as abandoned.

11. Quality & Warranty

11.1 We warrant that each bespoke garment will be free from defects in workmanship at the time of delivery.

11.2 If you believe a garment has a workmanship defect, please contact us within [X days] of collection/delivery so we can inspect and, where appropriate, repair the garment at no charge.

11.3 This warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear; damage from improper care, cleaning, or storage; alterations made by a third party after delivery; or natural variations inherent to handmade goods and natural fabrics (e.g., minor variations in pattern matching on checked or striped cloth).

11.4 Fabric performance (e.g., colorfastness, shrinkage) is subject to the fabric manufacturer’s specifications; we will advise recommended care at the time of delivery.

12. Care Instructions

Bespoke garments should be cared for as advised at collection (typically dry cleaning only, unless otherwise specified). Failure to follow care instructions may void the workmanship warranty in Section 11.

13. Intellectual Property

13.1 Patterns, design sketches, and any proprietary cutting techniques developed by Raymond Pacific remain our intellectual property, even where created specifically for your order.

13.2 Your pattern will be retained on file for future orders and alterations, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 To the extent permitted by Hong Kong law, our liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the price paid for the relevant garment.

14.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of enjoyment of an event due to delivery delay), except where such loss arises from our negligence or a failure that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law.

14.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, supplier disruption, or public health emergencies. We will notify you and agree a revised timeline where reasonably possible.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

16.2 Any dispute arising from an order shall first be raised directly with us in writing, in an effort to resolve it informally. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in effect at the time your order is confirmed will apply to that order. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
